I-295 Pavement Repair, Burlington County, NJ

Work Window: 8 hours (for two lanes) at night only
The project included restoration of 5 miles of this 6 lane interstate highway. Normal weight precast concrete Super-Slab® panels were used for full-depth replacement on the roadway. Work zone closures were generally limited to eight nighttime hours during which two of three lanes could be closed for work. Super-Slab® was value-engineered into the project by the contractor when the lane closure work windows allowed by NJDOT provided insufficient time for the contractor to cure cast-in-place concrete.
