This picturesque precast concrete Hy-Span® structure, which carries Evans Lane over Allen’s Creek in the Town of Brighton, NY, demonstrates how standard precast elements can be blended with cast-in-place parapet and wingwalls. The owner and designer achieved the desired finish by specifying a special form liner and pigmented concrete. The finished structure is a pleasant addition to the adjacent residential neighborhood.

The rise of the Hy-Span® bridge system can be increased by setting the units on cast-in-place stem walls as seen in the photo above. The stem walls were anchored to the underlying rock providing a stable support in this high energy stream.
